This year, production is prepared for ASTRA (AeroSystem TRAining) and Cold Jet Backpack (CJBP) for Paramotors utilising our own light engines in the direct drive of the impellor. In August I tried a ‘hung up’ unit on my friend’s back in BackPack fashion as a Paramotor but the prototype’s excess weight and CG was too far aft and prevented successful flight. The basic unit will be altered for Electric Power for BackPack. The future also looks bright for Propfans – unshrouded fans which were statically tested and found to increase thrust by more than 20% compared to free propellors.
